Our Upholstery Cleaning Process
To begin upholstery cleaning, we spray our pre-treatment over the fibers, allowing it to soak in and break down any dirt, dander, or oil inside the padding, which then moves to the surface. During the 5-10 minutes of dwell time, we scrub the fibers with a hand brush, helping suspend the soil to the surface for extraction.
After the dwell time is complete, we will rinse the furniture with our handheld tool that uses 220+ degree water, ensuring a thorough clean. Once complete, we turn fans on to allow the dry time to be expedited, taking between 1-3 hours to dry. If protectant is added to the service, we finish cleaning all the carpet before applying the protectant, which we spray down as a mist that soaks into the fibers and bonds as the water evaporates.

Biological cleaners work with the help of beneficial bacteria that produce enzymes that feed on and break down waste and stains. Our Pet Biological/Odor Removal Process
The first step to identifying any pet issue is to take a UV light and try and get the areas of concern as dark as possible so we can notate where each individual spot is. After we find all of the sites, we treat each area with our enzyme treatment, saturating each spot while evenly coating the rest of the surface area.
Unlike our normal pre-treatment, we HAVE to let this dwell for a minimum of 30 minutes. During this dwell time, we will agitate spots with our brushes to help the solution work its way deep into the fibers, into the backing and pad. After the minimum dwell time, we will extract the solution and the contaminates, turning fans on once we finish cleaning.
Dry time tends to be longer due to the amount of moisture we have to introduce to break down the bacteria in biological issues properly. The dry time usually takes between 6-12 hours. If there are heavily saturated areas, we have another service called a sub-extraction that attacks these areas individually. We pour hot water directly onto these spots to reactivate the biological areas, then take a small extraction tool to suck up all the moisture.
After the initial rinse, we pour a heavy concentrate of the enzyme onto that spot, spread it to cover the entirety of the spot, and allow it to soak all the way down to the subfloor. Then we take that same tool and extract the enzyme while rinsing to ensure all biological bacteria and enzymes have been removed. Once we finish that step, we clean the rest of the area and turn fans on to help the dry time stay as quick as possible.

Natural fibers will break down if agitated too much, so we do not agitate them during the dwell time. Unlike carpet, we will only be able to use cold water to extract to ensure there is no color bleed or fiber damage during the rinsing.
We also do extra dry strokes, which will help remove as much moisture as possible to help the rug dry as quickly as possible. During the dry stroke step, we always try and groom the fibers the way they naturally sit to prevent fiber reversal. In-home area rug cleaning can be done on any surface in the home due to the moisture not penetrating past the fibers; therefore, there is no worry about the floor underneath the rug getting damaged during the cleaning or dry time.

Our Natural Stone Cleaning & Sealing Process
We always identify what type of stone we are cleaning. We can clean granite, slate, and travertine stone, whether on the floor or countertops. Once we identify the stone, we will either use our standard treatment or utilize our stone cleaning solvent.
After spraying the solvent, we will agitate using our bristled machine or hand brush. Then we extract contaminants using our 220+ degree water, between 800-1000 PSI, before turning fans on to help dry time speed up. We will also wipe or mop up any excess moisture still on the surface.
Unlike synthetic tile, you must seal the stone after cleaning to keep it from being extremely porous. If the stone is not sealed, it will absorb all the dirt and bacteria that touches it, causing it to get dirtier and discolored quickly. In order to seal the stone, we will pour our impregnating sealer over the surface and then evenly spread it out in small areas to ensure complete coverage. We watch to see how quickly the sealer is absorbed and may need to reapply the sealer again to make sure the pores are fully filled. Once we have determined that the stone is adequately sealed, we will mop off any excess and ask that we allow it to set for 20 minutes before being walked on and to wait 24 hours before re-introducing any moisture back to the surface.
